While fans eagerly awaited the next chapter in the Tiger-Zoya spy franchise, only a little was revealed about the actual plot of Tiger 3 before its release. But here is taking you through all the major plot points of this globe-trotting action extravaganza:

It all begins when Tiger’s senior and mentor, Gopi Arya, is captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan while trying to uncover a sinister conspiracy being hatched in Pakistan. Before succumbing to his fatal injuries, Gopi warns Tiger that Zoya has a pivotal part to play in the conspiracy…a shocking revelation for Tiger, who always considered Zoya as his partner-in-arms.

As Tiger begins surveillance on Zoya, he is forced to act as a bodyguard on a RAW mission in Russia. Here, a stunning chain of events unfolds when Zoya tries to assassinate the person Tiger is guarding! A confrontation leads Tiger to the mastermind behind the conspiracy – Aatish Rehman.

In an intense face-off, Aatish reveals that he has coerced Zoya into compliance by abducting their son Junior and fatally drugging him. Tiger and Zoya must become double agents to save their son and steal a briefcase containing missile launch codes.

After securing the briefcase, Aatish frames Tiger and Zoya as traitors in front of their respective nations to undermine the peace process between the countries. While Zoya manages to prove her innocence, Tiger is captured and imprisoned in Pakistan on charges of murdering their Army Chief.

Tiger discovers Aatish’s motive in captivity through a flashback 12 years prior. Aatish’s pregnant wife was gunned down by Tiger in self-defense when she tried to assassinate India’s Army General on Aatish’s orders. Fueled by revenge, Aatish orchestrated this elaborate conspiracy by winning Zoya’s trust, using her as a pawn to spark a war between India and Pakistan.
